Field Trials Technician Agriculture

Agrii are looking to employ a Field Trials Technician, for our Throws Farm Site, located in Dunmow, Essex.

As a Trials Technician, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of industry-leading trials across a variety of crops, contributing to the advancement of sustainable food production.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with our combinable crops trials team and glasshouse trials team. They will be responsible for assisting all aspects of trial operations whilst adhering to ORETO standards, and closely following protocol and health & safety guidelines.
Responsibilities Include:
To be involved in all field and glasshouse trials operations including drilling, planting, spraying, harvesting and data collecting / assessing. To be able to locate, position and mark out field trials accurately and lay out glasshouse trial correctly. To be competent at assessing all trials to a high standard. To undertake plot and glasshouse spraying to ORETO standards as part of a spray team. To support the trials seed treating and preparation operations when required. To become involved with the supervision of student labour when required Maintain trial equipment, ensuring calibration and upkeep while keeping records updated.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience required:
Agricultural / Horticultural experience of any kind. An agricultural, scientific or biosciences qualification would be beneficial but is not essential. High level of organization with accuracy and attention to detail. Flexibility to adapt to seasonal needs and workload demands. An interest in the agriculture / horticulture sector is essential. Experience using MS office.
Pay for this role is DOE.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: 24,000.00-25,000.00 per year
