to manage core finance operations and ensure accurate financial reporting and UK compliance. This role supports day-to-day accounting, payroll, reporting, and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate accounts in line with UK accounting standards
Manage invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, credit control, and cash flow
Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Process payroll including PAYE, NI, pensions, and RTI submissions
Prepare and submit VAT returns and support Corporation Tax processes
Track project costs and profitability
Liaise with external accountants, payroll providers, and HMRC
Improve financial processes and internal controls
Requirements
Experience in a finance or accounting role
Strong knowledge of UK accounting and HMRC compliance
Experience with payroll, VAT, and financial reporting
Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
