Role Overview
Primarily focusing on purchase ledger activities, this role is fundamental within our accounts team ensuring invoices are processed and approved quickly whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy.
This is a great opportunity to join an expanding finance team based at St. Peter's Brewery, dealing with financial operations across the group.
Own transport is essential due to the rural location of our offices near Bungay, Suffolk.
Key Responsibilities
Managing our accounts@ inboxes
Ensuring invoices are matched to purchase orders and approved in a timely manner
Reconciling supplier accounts and statements
Ensuring that all documents are processed on time, accurately using correct nominal codes and VAT analysis
Maintaining supplier accounts and resolving supplier queries
Processing payment runs and supporting cashflow processes
Analysis of company credit card expenditure
Assisting with sales and purchase ledger month-end processes
Completing bank reconciliations
Supporting the finance team with administration tasks
Assisting with credit control
Any ad hoc tasks as required
Requirements
Previous experience in purchase ledger (essential) and VAT
Competent in all Microsoft Office packages, specifically Excel (essential)
Attention to detail to evidence accuracy in all work produced (essential)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed to the highest standards
Reliable and trustworthy

Working Hours
Monday-Thursday: 8.30am-5pm and Friday: 8.30am-4pm (although some flexibility will be required) with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.
