Advanced Care is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Financial Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient management of the company's financial operations while providing administrative support as needed. In this care-focussed organisation, the Finance Administrator's role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, handling payroll and billing, and supporting the team to deliver quality care services. The position requires a reliable, detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with staff, clients, and management - upholding Advanced Care's values of accuracy, integrity, and excellent service in all duties.
Duties
Process staff payroll accurately and on schedule.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and tracking payments.
Follow up on overdue client payments in a professional, sensitive manner.
Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and documentation.
Prepare basic financial reports for management.
Provide administrative support to the office team and senior management when required.
Communicate effectively with staff, clients, suppliers, and external partners.
Ensure compliance with financial policies, confidentiality requirements, and regulatory standards.
Skills
Minimum 3 years' experience in finance or administrative roles.
Background or qualification in finance, accounting, or administration (AAT desirable).
Strong understanding of payroll, invoicing, and basic financial reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Confident using spreadsheets and basic accounting/payroll systems.
Professional communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information.
Flexible approach, able to support additional hours during holiday cover or busy periods.
Excellent numerical ability and analytical skills
Good understanding of financial regulations and compliance standards
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively under pressure
A recognised qualification in finance, accounting, or related field is desirable but not essential
