Finance Administrator - The Wok Restaurant Ltd (Specializing in Indo-Chinese Cuisine)

The Wok Restaurant Ltd is a vibrant and modern establishment offering a unique fusion of Indian and Chinese culinary traditions. Known for its innovative menu and exceptional service, the restaurant caters to a diverse clientele. As the business expands, we are seeking a skilled Finance Administrator to support the financial operations and drive strategic planning through robust reporting and analysis.

The Finance Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the restaurant, including accounting, budgeting, cost control, inventory reconciliation, and financial reporting. The role involves working closely with management and operational teams to ensure the financial health of the business and compliance with all regulatory and internal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage food and beverage income from multiple revenue streams including dine-in, takeaway, delivery platforms, and events. Extract and process information from consolidated invoices and POS systems for accurate financial recording. Manage and record daily, weekly, and monthly inventory transactions. Conduct and audit regular stock counts to reconcile discrepancies and prevent loss. o Analyse stock data to optimize procurement and reduce wastage. Reconcile all vendor bills, purchase orders, and inventory usage at the end of each month. Prepare and present profit & loss reports, ensuring accuracy of accounts and classification of expenses and revenue. Provide timely and detailed monthly financial reports to management. Prepare monthly financial forecasts including expected revenue and expenditure. Develop and maintain budget reports and track variances. Provide support in preparation of the annual business plan and strategic reviews. Analyse current and historical data to support decision-making and highlight financial trends. Provide ongoing analytical support to the operations team for cost-saving initiatives and revenue growth opportunities. Conduct regular P&L critique meetings with the management team. Ensure a robust accounting control environment to mitigate financial risk and protect business assets. Ensure account balances are accurate and backed by appropriate documentation as per SOPs. Support the management team in audits (internal, external, or regulatory) and ensure compliance with statutory obligations and policies. Act as a liaison between finance and operations, supporting the General and Operations Managers with financial insights. Handle client, supplier, and business partner queries professionally and efficiently. Contribute to strategic financial planning discussions and performance reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (ACCA/CIMA part-qualified desirable). Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a finance or administrative role, preferably within hospitality or food service. Strong understanding of financial principles, profit & loss reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office, especially Excel. o Exceptional analytical and numerical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reporting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
