Your role and responsibilities




The role of a

Finance Administrator

is interesting and varied. We are currently looking for people to join the team with office skills as well as applicants with life skills in personal budgeting and finances.


You'll be reviewing Direct Payments funded by Suffolk County Council. This includes gathering relevant information, verifying payment details, analysing documentation, and conducting detailed reviews to ensure that funds are used in accordance with the terms and conditions of a Direct Payment. Also you will be making telephone calls to cardholders or providers to clarify queries, obtain missing information, and resolve discrepancies. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and effective communication are essential for maintaining compliance and accurate records.

You will need




To be willing and able to learn new skills. confidence in delivering high standard customer service. To work proactively, both as an individual and as part of a team. A strong understanding of IT, including Microsoft packages. Good attention to detail. The ability to use your own initiative. To be flexible in your approach to work.

The team




The Financial Inclusion and Advice Service (FIAS) collaborates with vulnerable customers who are receiving services from Social Care due to long term and complex medical conditions. The Finance Officer roles in the Financial Inclusion and Advice Service are interesting and varied.
