Our team is involved in every element of People and Finance activity. That includes payroll, casework, referencing and onboarding, through to billing, paying suppliers, and month end activities. It's up to us to lead, support and deliver an excellent service across our core processes including;


Managing Revenue Procurement Project and Asset Management Finance Processes People Processes Our Business Services teams focus on three areas: Systems and Transformation, Service Delivery, and Business Intelligence.

The Strategy, Solutions and Capital Portfolio supports the overarching Heathrow capital plan to help deliver our strategic objectives. We are looking for passionate and driven Finance Analysts to work alongside the Long term Growth programme team and the wider Finance business partnering teams to ensure we are developing and prioritising investments at Heathrow to optimise the capital portfolio. In addition, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the long- and short-term capital planning and performance process.


We welcome applications from fully qualified accountants as well as those who are close to completing the qualification or qualified by experience, particularly if you bring a strong appetite for learning, continuous improvement, and a proactive mindset.

Please note this is 12 month FTC based in Glasgow.

Supporting Long Term Growth (LTG) capital programme on investment appraisal & financial assurance activities, and assisting the wider finance team in tracking and managing project investment appraisal activities. Delivering analytical solutions and Business Intelligence tools such as reports and dashboards on HAL's capital performance. Supporting portfolio/programme benefit analysis and reporting. Helping manage the project pipeline, supporting programmes to identify potential projects and prioritising these against the Heathrow benefits framework. Owning the financial appraisal & assurance models. Working across the business to understand and manage the portfolio's financial risks and opportunities. Liaising with and challenging/ influencing stakeholders within Finance and non-Finance functions, and externally where required, to enable Heathrow to deliver its value potential.

Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent), finalist or qualified by experience with relevant expertise. Experience with Power BI reporting and data visualisation. Experience in handling capital projects with strong insight into accounting treatment, planning, and appraisal to support monitoring and reporting metrics. Adept at providing business knowledge, analytical support, and clear presentation of financial and business information to non-finance stakeholders.

Working location

Your contractual place of work will be the Heathrow Business Services Centre in Glasgow so you'll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to work.


We also have some hybrid roles with a working approach which offers the opportunity for colleagues to work from home for an average of two days a week, providing the flexibility to work in an agile way whilst ensuring we deliver for the operational needs of Heathrow. Working arrangements vary from team to team and will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
