Your Role:
As a
Finance and Operations Coordinator (Maternity Cover)
, you will play a key role in our financial and operational growth by:
Handle day-to-day finance tasks including bank checks, invoicing, payments, and debt chasing
Match POs to delivery notes, approve bills in Xero, and keep records accurate and up to date
Process PAYE, NI, CIS, supplier payments, and VAT returns on time
Track budgets, project costs, and sales forecasts, keeping reports and WIP sheets current
Maintain and improve core systems (Xero, ClearSpend, Stripe, Monday.com)
Support rollout of new stock and cost control tools across the business
Manage procurement admin, supplier coordination, and stock tracking with workshop/site teams
Oversee insurance renewals, CITB returns, and STA audit preparation
Support HR admin, including onboarding, holiday tracking, and training records
Coordinate deliveries, fleet records, and logistics paperwork
Respond to finance-related client queries and maintain professional communications
Monitor site spend and flag any cost overruns early
Essential Requirements
Prior experience in finance, admin, or operations roles
Strong knowledge of accounting tools (Xero, Stripe, ClearSpend)
Confident handling stock management, invoicing, and supplier coordination
High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and payments
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Comfortable working across teams and independently managing priorities
AAT Level 3-4 qualified
Desirable
Experience in the construction or manufacturing industries
Familiarity with Monday.com or other project/task tools
Understanding of project costing, procurement, and financial forecasting
