We are looking to recruit a full time Finance and Payroll Assistant to support our Head Office finance team based just outside the picturesque village of Castle Combe, Wiltshire.

This position will primarily be responsible for the collation and processing of all payroll administrative tasks and supporting with the day-to-day operations of the Finance team, reporting directly into the Finance Manager.

JOB DETAILS



1) Assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly payroll for various reporting divisions for review and approval by the Payroll Manager, tasks include:

- Collation of weekly timesheets

- Recording of expenses and mileage claims

- Liaising with HR regarding holiday, SSP, SMP and other absences

- Processing leavers and issuing P45's

- Various other payroll related tasks to assist the Payroll Manager

2) Purchase Ledger processing completed in an accurate and timely manner, tasks include:

- Entering and coding supplier and consultant invoices with correct VAT analysis

- Electronically matching invoices to materials and plant hire purchase orders

- Reconciling supplier statements and actively resolving any issues or queries arising

- Obtaining appropriate authorisation with the relevant budget holders

- Verifying and setting up of new suppliers

- Maintain and organise shared finance mail box

3) Undertaking additional tasks, as required

PERSON SPECIFICATION - Essential:



Able to handle and prioritise multiple tasks across multiple divisions and businesses Experience of working with sensitive information Able to work diligently and accurately with a keen eye for detail and high degree of first-time accuracy Ability to communicate effectively in a polite manner through the use of emails and telephone Willing to propose solutions to issues rather than simply report problems Willing to work as part of a team and prepared to accept responsibility for allocated tasks and actions Willing to take on new tasks and a strong desire to develop personally to enable progress within the organisation Comfortable with the use of Microsoft Office programmes, including Outlook, Excel and Word

Desirable:



Experience within a Finance or Human Resources role Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central Experience of working in construction industry or house building
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,500.00-28,000.00 per year
