Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll & Finance Assistant to join our Finance and HR Department. This role plays a key part in supporting the organisation's financial operations, including payroll processing, purchase ledger management, and banking activities. You will ensure accurate and timely payroll for all staff, liaise with HR and production teams, manage payroll-related communications, and maintain compliance with internal procedures and statutory requirements. The role also involves supporting the purchase ledger process, ensuring supplier invoices are correctly processed and paid, and maintaining up-to-date financial records.

In addition to payroll and purchase ledger responsibilities, you will assist with bank reconciliations, income recording, and intercompany transactions. You'll also support the Finance Manager and Head of Finance & HR in developing and implementing financial policies, training staff, and ensuring adherence to procedures across departments. This is a varied and hands-on role that requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a busy finance environment. Experience with Xero, BrightPay, and Microsoft Office 365 is desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,897.50 per year
