We're looking for a Finance Application Analyst to join our Aspen Project Team. You'll be based in either our Inverness or Edinburgh office.

The Aspen Project is a major transformation programme replacing our legacy finance, budgeting, and purchasing systems with Oracle Fusion. This work will modernise the way Forestry and Land Scotland manages its finances, embedding best practice and enabling smarter, more efficient ways of working.

As a Finance Application Analyst, you'll play a central role in ensuring the successful delivery of financial accounting requirements within the project. Acting as the subject matter expert for financial accounting, you'll work closely with finance teams, system users, and consultants to design, configure, and implement new processes. You'll also lead on testing, training, and change management to support the organisation as it transitions to new ways of working.

To be successful, you'll need working knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials, proven experience in a financial accounting role, and a strong understanding of transactional and asset management processes. You should also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong IT skills (including Microsoft Office), and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels. A relevant accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA CAT, or equivalent minimum level 4 professional qualification) is essential, though substantial proven experience may also be considered.

Desirable experience includes working in a project environment, finance roles in the public sector, and familiarity with systems such as eFinancials. Knowledge of IFRS, government accounting principles, and experience with accounting software packages would also be advantageous.

This role will involve regular travel across Scotland, which may include occasional overnight stays.
