Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Finance Apprentice to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Finance Apprentice to contribute to our growing success.


Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the finance team with the day-to-day running of the accounting function and other related finance tasks.



This opportunity will enable you to work across different areas of finance to gain confidence, experience and build a portfolio of evidence for apprenticeship accreditation. Supervision and support will be provided and available to you during all tasks as you achieve the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) professional qualification.

What you'll be doing

You will be supporting month end financial close activities



You will use Microsoft Dynamics AX software to maintain the nominal ledger and accounts



You will be performing reconciliations of balance sheet accounts



You will be processing and reporting on prepayments, accruals, fixed assets and intercompany balances





You will be carrying out transactional processing associate with credit cards and journal entries



You will be Identifying and supporting with continuous improvements in process and controls



You will be required to perform other ad hoc duties as requested by line manager or Financial Controller

Who you'll be working with

You will be working within the Finance team and internal stakeholders across the business

Skills/Experience:

You will be AAT part qualified and/or have a desire to obtain a professional finance qualification



You will have strong numerical and analytical skills with the desire to understand the "why" behind the numbers



You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders



You will be proactive and organised approach to work, with good attention to detail



You can prioritise and manage multiple tasks





You are IT proficient and have strong Excel skills
