Fixed term contract for 2 years, 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus one week)
About the Role:
Are you looking to start your career in finance while gaining a recognised qualification? We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Apprentice to join our busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a supportive environment while working towards an AAT Level 3 qualification-- with full study time and off-the-job training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Finance Manager and Finance Director, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient running of the finance office. Your duties will include:
Assisting with the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
Receiving purchase order requisitions, placing orders, and maintaining records on the finance system.
Checking delivery notes, coding and paying invoices, and liaising with suppliers to resolve queries.
Supporting bank reconciliations, including responsibility for at least one bank account.
Managing all aspects of petty cash administration and completing month-end reconciliations.
Assisting with general administration tasks such as audit requests and confidential data disposal.
You will need:
Qualified to at least A' Level standard or equivalent
Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with various stakeholders.
A keen eye for detail is necessary to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and transaction processing.
The ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to the various demands of the finance department, including maintaining confidentiality.
