Job Summary:

Finance Apprentices are responsible for the day-to-day recording of financial transactions. Their core responsibilities include posting bank transactions and handling the majority ofpurchase ledger tasks. They ensure the integrity of the general ledger through accurate data entry and support the month-end close process across the group.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

Transaction Processing & Data Entry:


Post and allocate daily bank transactions

Enter and code supplier invoices

Purchase Ledger Support:

Process supplier invoices

Assist in scheduling and processing payment runs.

Setting up or new supplier accounts

Reconcile supplier statements

Maintain supporting documentation for all purchase ledger transactions.

Administrative Support:

Provide data for month-end schedules such as accruals.

Archive supporting documentation and prepare files for internal/external audits.

Assist in ad hoc financial reporting and other tasks as required.

Apprenticeship:

We will support you through your studies for the AAT qualification with First Intuition. First Intuition offer in centre classroom courses and virtual classroom courses. You will attend their study courses via block delivery, for multiple days at a time.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship:

Support for the right candidate with further professional studies (ACCA/CIMA) with career progression through to becoming a management accountant.
