Aberdeen Sports Village are looking for a proactive self starter Finance Assistant to join our friendly finance team for a temporary 3 month period . The salary quoted is for a full time equivalent and will be pro rata to the hours worked. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team within our organisation, ensuring the efficient processing of all purchase ledger activity . This position is perfect for someone looking to have a flexible role within a small finance team.
Responsibilities
Processing of purchase orders, purchase invoices, payment runs
Assisting of sales invoices and credit control and customer liasion
Reconciliation of the credit card statement and receipts and processing
Dealing with employee expenses
Responding to e mail inboxes for purchase and sales ledger
Supporting the Finance Officer and Head of finance in other accounts related work.
Skills and experience
Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of other accounting software;
Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective collaboration across teams.
A proactive approach to tasks, demonstrating initiative and a willingness to learn.
A can do attitude with flexibility.
