Job title: Finance Assistant \xe2\x80\x93 Accounts Receivable

Inspired & supported by: Accounts Receivable & Income Audit Leader / Finance Manager

Your purpose as a Finance Assistant will be: Maintain the accuracy and completeness of financial tasks, promptly addressing and resolving any discrepancies that may arise. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure that established processes align with Internal Audit standards.

You will be accountable for:

  • Compare daily revenue against the Point of Sales (POS) system, generate and distribute daily reports to internal and external stakeholders
  • Post daily Paypoint Payments on the Property Management system (PMS) and complete the necessary reconciliation
  • Reconcile and allocate all credit card postings on PMS against payments received, investigate any variances and make necessary adjustments
  • Reconcile and merge Operational packs on a weekly basis and ensure it adheres to Internal Audit standards
  • Respond to guest queries within a specified timeframe of 24h
  • Check and confirm that voucher postings in the PMS are accurate and match the payments received in terms of validity and amount
  • Process refunds & allowances, whilst ensuring that adjustments are authorised correctly and comply with the company policy
  • Perform weekly reconciliation of Room Charges for the outsourced Outlets and communicate any discrepancies, finding resolutions to the variances
  • Assist with Month End journals
  • Perform any additional tasks as instructed by the Accounts Receivable & Income Audit Leader or Finance Manager
  • Act in accordance with fire, health, and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures in emergency situations
Qualifications

What you will need to do this role? :
  • Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others
  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal
  • Strong administration and organization skills with a proven ability to juggle many tasks
  • Great attention to detail, and focus on quality of work produced
  • A team player, possessing a high degree of professionalism
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to analyse large amounts of data
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and suite of Microsoft Office applications
  • Preferably studying towards ACCA
  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of Opera and Silverware desirable
