Finance Assistant



Grade: BB04 (Salary Point 7-9)

Actual Salary: 25,584 to 26,409 (pay award pending)

Working pattern: Full Time - 37 hours per week

We are looking to appoint a highly organised, detail-oriented, enthusiastic Finance Assistant to provide a comprehensive, efficient and effective financial management service to our school. This is an all year round role however, term-time plus additional days may be considered for the right candidate.

As our Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the school. Working closely with the School Business Manager, you will ensure that financial records are accurate, timely, and compliant with school policies and procedures. Your key responsibilities will include, processing invoices, purchase orders and payments; managing petty cash, banking and reconciliations; liaising with suppliers, staff and external agencies; supporting budget monitoring and reporting. You will also be required to support with general administrative duties when required.

We are looking for someone with experience of working in a finance or administrative role, with strong numeracy skills and attention to detail. Experience in a school setting and knowledge of systems such as Arbor or PS Financials is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
