Job Summary



Easy Housing Association seeks an organised and diligent

Finance Assistant

to support our finance operations. You'll play a key role in managing day-to-day ledgers, income reconciliation, invoice processing, and audit preparation--ensuring smooth financial services for our organisation and residents.

Key Responsibilities



Process purchase invoices, record keeping, and maintain purchase ledger Reconcile income sources (rent, service charges, direct debits) and perform weekly/monthly bank reconciliations Post journals including accruals, prepayments, and maintain nominal ledger Assist with month-end management accounts and control account work Support audit processes by preparing documentation and liaising with external auditors Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GDPR and internal policy Provide ad-hoc financial support to the Financial Controller and wider EHA team

Person Specification



Essential:



AAT Level 2 (or equivalent) or ?1 year of finance/accounting experience Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook Strong attention to detail, organisation, and ability to meet deadlines Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Desirable:



Experience in housing finance or with rent accounting systems Familiarity with Xero, or similar finance software
