We're now looking for a Finance Assistant to join our friendly and professional team at our head office on the Hollingbury Industrial Estate. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid finance experience who enjoys working with customers and ensuring smooth, accurate financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing and issuing accurate sales invoices in a timely manner
Managing customer accounts and allocating incoming payments
Conducting proactive credit control -- following up overdue accounts professionally and maintaining positive customer relationships
Responding to customer queries regarding invoices and statements
Reconciling customer accounts and maintaining up-to-date records
Supporting the month-end close process and management reporting
Assisting with purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and general finance administration as required
Collaborating with colleagues across departments to resolve queries and support wider business objectives
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:
Previous experience
in a similar finance or accounting role (essential)
Strong Excel skills
and confidence working with data
Excellent communication skills
(both written and verbal) -- you'll be speaking with customers regularly
High attention to detail
and strong organisational skills
A proactive, professional, and customer-focused approach
Experience using
Sage 50
is highly desirable but not essential, as training can be provided.
