The Role
We are looking for a motivated Finance Assistant to support our central finance team. This varied role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in transactional finance and play a key role in maintaining accurate and timely financial records.
Key responsibilities:
Posting and reconciling bank receipts and statements
Supporting credit control with payment queries
Setting up new customer records
Matching purchase ledger invoices to PO's and GRN's
Reconciling ledgers (purchase, sales, subcontract, and contract)
Assisting with subcontractor invoicing and month-end costs
Managing intercompany transactions
Maintaining records for audit purposes
Handling post and internal communications
Who you are
You are an organised and enthusiastic individual, keen to build a career in finance. With strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, you enjoy problem-solving and working as part of a team.
Key Skills:
Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks
Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
Confident user of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Good verbal and written communication
Willingness to learn and adapt
AAT qualification desirable but not essential
