Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and assisting with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities & Duties Include

:

Process creditor invoices on accounts software for all companies within the Turkington Group accurately and to set deadlines Maintain purchase ledger and supplier accounts, to include supplier reconciliations and resolution of queries Processing of creditor payments within agreed credit terms, including BACS and manual payments Processing of subcontractor payments under CIS and RCT regime Responsible for month end procedures and the processing of finance reports Entering new Sales Contracts on Contracting Database within accounts software Administration of stock levels on accounts package Provide administrative support to the finance team as required, including Contract Sales, update and maintain various databases, weekly payroll, petty cash transactions & assisting with preparation of VAT returns and other regulatory submissions.

Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in similar finance role, preferably in a Construction environment Proficient in accounting software Good working knowledge of CIS and RCT tax regimes (HMRC/Revenue) Good organisational and time management skills Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team Stock management and payroll experience preferred but not essential
