AJ Connect is working in close partnership with a successful SME in the food production industry to appoint a Finance Assistant. This is a critical appointment within a business that's grown to become a market leader in its sector, employing over 100 staff during peak seasons.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a vital role in supporting the finance function day-to-day. You'll be involved in maintaining financial records, processing payroll, and assisting with audit preparation. It's a fast-paced environment that requires accuracy, discretion, and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Process purchase invoices, petty cash receipts, and supplier payments
Complete regular bank reconciliations
Credit control and sales ledger maintenance
Weekly and monthly payroll, including overtime processing
Support audit processes with accurate record keeping
Data entry for supply chain systems and finance databases
General administrative support to the finance team.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience with Sage Line 50 Accounts and Payroll
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
Background in a similar finance/admin role
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
A collaborative, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn.
Work Hours & Environment
April - September: 8am-3pm
September - March: 8am-4pm
Full-time, fully office-based in Dundee
Small, friendly team working across finance, production, and operations
