Finance Assistant
Job Description
Evergreen Fashion UK Ltd is a fast-paced dynamic supplier to the high street and are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team in Glasgow for a part time position. This will include reviewing and processing transactions across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash and Bank, with some exposure to general ledger. It will be a highly variable role, supporting all functions within the business. You will report to the Financial Controller.
This role is ever changing, although currently looking for someone part time, this has the ability to grow to full time.
We are looking for someone who is keen to learn, has a can do attitude and uses their initiative.
Responsibilities;
Processing all purchase invoices / resolving queries with suppliers accurately and on a timely basis Preparing payment runs /payment preparation including BACS, Direct Debits & Foreign Payments. Supplier statement reconciliations Credit card/Expenses process & reconciliation across more than one bank Regular follow up with customers, providing statements, invoice copies and supporting documentation where required Chasing and escalating for payment Bank Reconciliations across several accounts and currencies Processing regular ad hoc payments Processing updates and changes to supplier/customer records Help identify and support system and process change that improves efficiency Ad Hoc duties per business requirements Liaise with external company accountants and HR organisation Work closely with our Far East office Supporting quarterly Vat returns and other statutory requirements
Key skills & Attributes
Previous experience of a finance role within a fast paced environment Previous experience with Sage Proactive and self-motivated Excellent Microsoft skills, with Advanced level Excel skills (use of formulas, Vlookup, pivot tables) Able to work under pressure Great organisational skills Ability to prioritise Able to integrate into wider team and work well individually Strong communication skills

Pay: 23,000.00-25,000.00 per year
