Job Description

At Spartan Precision Equipment Ltd we are passionate about designing, manufacturing and selling the ultimate shooting support systems for both civilian and government users.

We are experiencing an exciting time of growth and development and we require a full-time Finance Assistant to join our dedicated and close-knit team based at our Head Office in Hartfield located in the beautiful East Sussex countryside close to Ashdown Forest.

You will be highly motivated and organised with a strong attention to detail. You will assist the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Company's finances for the continued growth and success of the Company.

You will be based at our Head Office in Hartfield working full time 37.5 hours per week.

Key responsibilities will include:



Support the Finance Manager with the day-to-day accounting cycle, including maintaining both sales and purchase ledgers Performing key reconciliations such as bank reconciliations Raising invoices and paying suppliers Preparing monthly payroll Balance sheet requisitions Credit control Processing staff expenses Dealing with general finance queries General data entry using Xero and Unleashed

Key skills and attributes:



Excellent working knowledge of Xero accounting software (or similar) Good understanding of 'Unleashed' inventory management software (or similar) Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure Advanced Excel skills Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills High attention to detail A problem-solving approach to work Some experience of e-commerce platforms such as Shopify would be an advantage Knowledge of Xero Hubdoc would also be an advantage.

Professional experience and qualifications:



You will have at least three year's previous experience in a similar role.

AAT Level 3 or 4 (or qualified by experience).

Some experience of international finances and transaction, particularly in the USA and/or Europe is an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per year
