We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our dynamic team in Leicester. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department with a variety of tasks, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain and update financial records and databases.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
• Handle queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Finance Assistant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
