Finance Assistant

to join our dedicated Finance and General Office team.

In this varied role, you'll split your time equally between

Accounts Payable

and

Accounts Receivable

, supporting day-to-day finance operations across our Infant, Junior and Senior schools.

In addition to this; a positive, flexible approach to work and duties, and the ability to deliver consistent quality and reliability through their methodical approach to work.

The salary is 25,000 - 30,000 plus competitive employee benefits.

The hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

JOB DESCRIPTION



Primary Purpose



To administer various financial and operational related tasks to support the Finance Team and other advisors both internal and external to the School.

Principal Objectives



Act as a key contact for parent fee queries and assist with termly billing cycles Manage the purchase ledger: process invoices, payments, reconciliations, and aged creditor monitoring Support monthly reconciliations, including prepayments, accruals, trips, and expenses Assist with debt collection and sales ledger activities including raising and allocating invoices Oversee and support income streams through systems such as iFinance, Wisepay, and Worldpay Help coordinate petty cash, music income/refunds, and scholarships/discounts Contribute to audit preparation and general finance administration Collaborate with stakeholders to improve finance processes in a new hybrid support role

PERSON SPECIFICATION



AAT qualified (or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of financial processes and excellent attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (iFinance experience desirable) Outstanding organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
