On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a Finance Assistant (Inside IR35) for a 3 months contract based in Didcot.

As a Finance Assistant, your main responsibilities will be:

Manage and process invoices accurately and efficiently. Compile and report timesheets to ensure timely payroll processing. Assist with managing and responding to inbox enquiries promptly. Support the month-end closing process, ensuring all financial activities are completed. Gather and analyze data to support financial decision-making. Perform various finance administrative tasks to support the finance team.

Essential:

Demonstrated experience in finance administration, including invoicing, data collection, and month-end processes. Proficient in using IT tools and accounting systems to enhance financial operations. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Desirable:

Working towards a bookkeeping or accountancy qualification.
