We're looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team . This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to kick-start their career in finance.
As a Finance Assistant, you'll gain hands-on experience across core finance functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and month-end processes. You'll play a key role in supporting the wider finance team while developing the skills needed for a successful career in management accounting.

Duties
Support the processing of sales and supplier ledgers to ensure accurate financial records.
Assist in preparing monthly reports on inventory, debtors, creditors, sales by item groups, and intercompany loan accounts.
Update and maintain monthly journals to reflect current financial activity.
Maintain the fixed assets register, including calculating depreciation and processing additions/disposals.
Contribute to the preparation of accruals and prepayments.
Support intercompany reconciliations and internal recharges.
Assist with credit card expense tracking and reporting.
Play a key role in supporting the preparation of management accounts.
Help prepare quarterly VAT returns, including reconciliations to the business system.
Provide additional support to the ledger teams during busy periods and cover staff absences when needed.
Daily updating of the company cashbooks and posting transactions using Excel and internal systems.
Take part in ad-hoc analysis, reporting tasks, and projects assigned by the Management Accountant.
Support audit preparation and contribute to the development of statutory accounts.
Skills
Basic understanding of accounting principles ideally gained through a degree in finance, accounting, or a related subject.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, comfortable using spreadsheets for calculations, data analysis, and reporting.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, confident working with figures and interpreting financial data.
Attention to detail, accurate data entry and a methodical approach to financial processes.
