Finance Assistant



Remote (UK-based) | Full-Time | 25,000-30,000 DOE.

We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to take responsibility for managing our day-to-day financial operations and ensuring healthy cash flow across the business. This role is ideal for someone with strong bookkeeping and credit control experience who thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing



Finance & Accounting



Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, expenses, and bank reconciliations. Process and track payments through platforms like Stripe. Manage bookkeeping using QuickBooks, DEXT, or similar tools. Produce daily and monthly financial reports, profit and loss summaries, and forecasts. Support budgeting and cash flow planning events. Manage accurate and timely payments to external suppliers and contractors. Oversee the accounts inbox and respond professionally and promptly. Prepare documentation for VAT submissions, year-end reporting, and audit queries. Liaise with external accountants on financial statements, compliance, and audits. Reconcile payments across bank accounts and internal systems to ensure accuracy. Handle recurring and subscription payments to maintain consistent cash flow. Resolve customer payment, invoice, and refund queries promptly and professionally. Process approved refund requests according to policy. Calculate, report on, and process commission payments for mentors, sales teams, and eligible internal staff. Run monthly payroll for staff and contractors.

Credit Control



Proactively monitor outstanding invoices and follow up on overdue payments. Create, draft, and manage payment plans, contracts, and payment terms in line with company policy. Keep accurate records of all credit control activities in the CRM system. Reduce aged debt while maintaining positive relationships with clients.

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience



3+ years' experience in a finance, credit control, or bookkeeping role. Proficiency with

QuickBooks

,

DEXT

, or other accounting software. Experience managing customer payments and chasing overdue accounts. High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and financial discipline. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working remotely with the ability to manage your own time effectively. Knowledge of UK financial regulations (VAT, payroll, year-end processes).

Qualification or part-qualified accountant Experience in a coaching, education, or subscription-based business. Familiarity with

Stripe

and CRM platforms (e.g.

HubSpot

Ontraport

). An interest in property, personal finance, or entrepreneurship.
