Finance Assistant

Where: Hixon, Stafford
Salary: 27,500 - 30,000 depending on experience
Hours of work: 30-40 hours per week - Part time or full time (Office hours Mon-Thu 08:00-17:00, Fri 08:00-15:45)

We're Allett Ltd -- proud British manufacturers of precision lawnmowers, trusted by passionate gardeners and world-class sports venues alike. With over 50 years of engineering excellence behind us, we're looking for a Finance Assistant to help keep our financial operations in top shape.

What you'll do

Keep our purchase ledger accurate -- process invoices, match POs, and resolve any discrepancies

Support our sales ledger -- raise invoices, chase payments, and help manage credit control

Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers.

Take ownership of daily bank reconciliations and ensure payments are posted on time

Maintain tidy, up-to-date ledgers and assist with month-end processes

Be the first point of contact for finance queries -- internal and external

Play your part in building strong supplier and customer relationships.

What we're looking for

Experience in a finance or accounts role (desirable)

Confidence using Microsoft Office (Excel essential) and accounting software

A proactive, problem-solving mindset with great organisational skills

Someone working towards AAT or another accounting qualification (bonus!)

A collaborative team player with strong communication skills

Driving licence -- our location is rural
