As Finance Business Partner - Property, you will play a pivotal role in reviewing and analysing performance, producing reports and commentary for individual project managers and business unit management to enable monitoring of profitability against budget and recommend corrective action if required. You are an effective team player with solid experience in preparing and analysing month end accounts, ensuring accurate recognition of expenditure & revenue in accordance with UKAEA financial policy. You will be collaborating closely with your business area and with the broader finance team.

Additional Responsibilities:

-Facilitating robust budgeting and forecasting by fostering relationships with project managers and senior management, both at project and business unit levels.

-Overseeing program accounting for for day to day activities and site projects, providing guidance on project structure, reporting, and budgeting.

-Helping to ensure a solid control environment, reconciling pertinent balance sheet accounts and ensuring audit-ready documentation for areas like prepayments, accruals, WIP, and Income in Advance.

-Working together with the Capital Project Accountant to enhance capital expenditure reporting and commentary for spending clarity, while also improving the Finance Property Model for streamlined service charge budgeting and reconciliation.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

-At least part-qualified, qualified by experience, or working towards a qualification in a relevant professional accounting body

-Experience of collaborating closely with business teams in a \xe2\x80\x9cbusiness partner\xe2\x80\x9d capacity

-To understand the fundamentals of revenue recognition

-Highly proficient in Excel and have experience of an ERP accounting system [Unit 4 (Agresso) would be an advantage]

-Able to work on occasion to challenging timescales while still ensuring accuracy
