We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant who is looking to make a move in to their first Finance Business Partner role!

You will partner the Commercial, Customer & Regulation (CCR) team for three of our operational Interconnector businesses which will become four later in the year! Our interconnectors are high voltage cables that connect the electricity systems of our neighbouring countries and allow us to trade excess power, such as renewable energy.

The CCR team are responsible for defining the commercial strategy & leading on progressing the regulatory frameworks for existing and future interconnectors, as well as designing and implementing product and trading strategies to maximise interconnector revenues while minimising the impact of market volatility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of all revenue related files and associated outputs across the three businesses- Presenting market insights and KPI\'s to justify revenue performance to FP&A in month end meetings.
  • Ownership of revenue within the quarterly forecast cycles - Assisting the CCR team with modelling future revenues by challenging assumptions and outputs before submission to FP&A.
  • Being a trusted FBP to the CCR team by supporting on both adhoc requests as well as attending & presenting in key business meetings.
  • Process improvement - there is a big opportunity to drive process improvement & efficiencies through automation using Power BI.
  • Develop deep understanding of the regulatory schemes which underpin the way in which each business operates. Assist with regulatory submissions to Ofgem and cap accounting.
About You:

You\'re a Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent who has experience in financial reporting, planning, forecasting and risk management. You have good commercial understanding and have a strong desire to increase your commercial understanding. You have excellent interpersonal skills and thrive off building solid relationships across the business. You can present finance to non-finance professionals and want to do more than simply report numbers. You like to think to outside the box, moving things forward using your own initiative and have a key focus on process improvement. You\'re all about and love to be in the detail and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Power BI experience is desirable but not essential.
