Role Overview:

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team provides insight to key stakeholders around the business, to support effective decision making and connect the Board & Executive to business performance.

The Finance Business Partner is responsible for working with Insurer Services (Claims) senior leadership team in delivery of costs, and associated portfolio of initiatives. Providing the key link between Finance and Insurer Services. Supporting the business in strategic decision making by challenging proposals and collaborating with stakeholders on budget setting, benefits and initiatives.

What you\'ll do:

• Act as the key link between Finance, Claims Handling and Insurer Services functions, providing expert advice and insight from Finance to key business stakeholders
• Lead operating expense budgeting and forecasting process for assigned business areas
• Ensure business areas are delivering operating expenses in line with Group three year plan, clearly articulating and providing insight on any variances
• Act as a Business Partner and trusted advisor to Executive and Leadership teams, ensuring Finance engagement in key Commercial decisions
• Collaborate with the business on creation of business cases and associated models, ensuring benefits are clearly articulated, rationalised and are appropriately tracked post go live
• Challenge assumptions of proposals put forward by the business to strive for maximum value and impact from delivery teams

We\'d love you to have:

• Experience in delivery roles within Financial Planning & Analysis within Insurance or Financial Services
• Experience working with large and complex operational business areas
• Commercial acumen and ability to articulate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• Proven ability to analyse numerical data with excellent report writing and communication skills
• Exposure to and ability to build strong relationships with Senior Leaders including at Executive level
• Financial planning and budgetary experience
• Microsoft Office - particularly Excel and PowerPoint

Desirable

• Knowledge or experience of TM1 (IBM Planning & Analytics) Finance System is considered highly advantageous
• UK Motor Insurance industry knowledge
• ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification (desirable, but not mandatory)
