Main Purpose



As the Finance Operations Business Partner for Portadown/Dudley you will be a key member of the Divisional Finance Operations Team.


You will partner with the Portadown/Dudley Operations Team to provide timely, accurate, and relevant financial information in support of the company's strategy and objectives.

Responsibilities



As the Finance Operations Business Partner, you will be supporting and advising on all matters relating to the following areas: -

Product Cost Management



Standard cost setting activity, working with Procurement, Engineering, Operations and other functions Provide comprehensive and accurate reporting to support the understanding of Material and Labour variances to plan in accordance with reporting deadlines. Work with local operations team to drive performance and adherence to plan Analyse changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost Partner with the Operations Function to drive continuous process improvement Collaborate with the respective functions to ensure integrity of bills of materials, routings and material pricing Standard price setting on sourced products for Division Analysis and reporting of price variance

Cost Centre Spend Management



Analyse data and trends to promote process improvements and efficiencies Monthly/bi-monthly reviews with cost centre managers to ensure they are aware of their current performance and any corrective actions needed

Stock Management



Ensure robust local Inventory Controls are in place Monitor inventory valuations for accuracy, analyse inventory to identify obsolescence and ageing risks Participate in inventory counts, analyse results and brief the Operations Function

Capital Management



Support Capex business case preparation; monthly review of assets under construction and capitalisation

Budget/ Forecast Planning



Standard Cost Setting Support the Annual Budget preparation for Operational cost centres

Skills, Knowledge and Experience



ESSENTIAL



Excellent communicator both oral and written and can deal effectively with financial and non-financial people and is focused on building and maintaining excellent working relationships across the business. Ability to develop and improve working procedures and processes Takes full ownership of areas of own responsibility and is totally delivery focused Team player with the ability to work on own initiative Results oriented, with the ability to take decisions quickly when necessary and the resilience to challenge/be challenged The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with good influencing skills and a logical approach to complicated tasks. Will have experience of working to tight deadlines in a detail-oriented performance driven business

DESIRABLE



Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA. Demonstrable experience of costing goods, valuing inventory and analysing cost variances in a manufacturing environment Experience working with SAP Standard Costing Module
