Scantec recruitment are working in partnership with a leading FMCG Packaging manufacturer to assist them in finding a Finance Business Partner for their site in Workington. This is due to internal promotions at the site.

Role profile:

You would be working within a small and professional finance team where you will be able to support the department on a range of financial elements. From forecasting, budgeting and working with customers on investigating and tracking finances relating to production costs and waste.

Summary of core responsibilities:

• Finance support for all new business quotes and customer scenario planning
• Assessing future forecast, based on customer demand and price changes, fx movements and raw material movements.
• Creating a rolling forecast for the business unit with scenario options, for revenue and costs
• Investigate Production performance identifying and analysing variances to plan/PY
• Calculating Waste and investigating Waste and Efficiencies.
• Tracking raw Materials \xe2\x80\x93 and alignment with pricing.
• Monthly Unit performance, reporting on results, to Business Unit Management team.
• Supporting WC initiatives, driving down inventories and improved S&OP process.
• Preparing Capex proposals and tracking Capex spend.
• Creating monthly Management reporting Packs.
• Investigating various operational KPI\xe2\x80\x99s.
• Drive the site\xe2\x80\x99s cost reduction agenda.
• Checking the integrity of data and ensuring accurate information is given to management in order to drive the business forward.

Required skills & Experience:

The ideal candidate would have 2-3 years experience post qualification (AAT//CIMA/ACCA). We will look at candidates from either a practice background or similar FMCG manufacturing / distribution or supply chain. A good level of Excel knowledge is essential. SAP would be ideal but not essential.
