As a Business and Finance Controller, your main role is to keep an official track of company spending.
Duties and responsibilities
Your daily 'to do' list will generally look something like this:
Balancing accounts
Processing sales invoices, receipts and payment
Preparing invoices
Checking company bank statements
Reparing cash flow statements
Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
You'll also help prepare the profit and loss sheets for the annual accounts.
The job offers good work/life balance as most of the time you'll work 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. There may be the odd time when it's really busy and you need to work a few extra hours.
Most of your time will be spent managing the business finance and advising the Board of Directors.
You must have at least 3 years experience in Business Financial management with AAT, ACCA, CIMA qualifications or equivalent.
