Position Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven

Financial Controller

to join our team and support the Finance Director in managing the company's financial operations. This pivotal role will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensure strong internal controls are in place to support the company's growth and sustainability. Key Responsibilities:



1. Financial Reporting



Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies. Present financial results to senior management and provide insights on financial performance.

2. Budgeting and Forecasting



Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Prepare financial forecasts and track variances against actual performance. Provide guidance on cost control and resource allocation.

3. Cash Flow Management



Oversee cash flow, ensuring that the company has adequate liquidity to meet its operational needs. Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and working capital. Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and manage financial risks.

4. Internal Controls and Compliance



Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud. Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and industry standards. Coordinate with auditors during annual audits and implement recommendations for improvement.

5. Financial Analysis



Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations to improve financial performance. Support management in decision-making through financial insights.

6. Team Management



Manage and mentor a team of accountants and finance professionals. Develop staff by providing training, performance reviews, and career development opportunities. Ensure the team operates efficiently and adheres to deadlines and policies.

7. Tax Management



Oversee the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns. Ensure tax compliance and work with external advisors to manage tax strategy. Monitor tax law changes and evaluate their impact on the company.

8. Strategic Support



Provide financial insights to support business strategy and decision-making. Assist in business planning and capital investment decisions. Contribute to mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives from a financial perspective.

9. Financial Systems and Tools



Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial software and systems. Ensure systems are efficient and support accurate financial reporting. Lead process improvements and automation initiatives.

10. Risk Management



Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Monitor credit risk, interest rate risk, and other financial risks.

About you:



The ideal candidate will bring:

Proven experience in a similar financial management or controller role Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail Excellent analytical and communication abilities A collaborative approach with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders Proficiency in financial systems and Excel -

knowledge and experience of using Odoo would be a real advantage

Experience or understanding of the health and wellness industry would be beneficial
