Finance Coordinator



40,000 - 45,000 per annum



We're looking for a commercially aware and ambitious Finance Coordinator who can do more than simply manage the books. This role offers the opportunity to grow with us and play a key part in shaping the future of our finance function as the business continues to expand.

You'll play a key role in strengthening the financial performance of the business, overseeing individual project budgets (forecast vs. actual), managing cash flow, and supporting cost reduction initiatives. You'll also lead on month-end and quarterly management accounts, and ensure full compliance across all tax requirements including CIS, VAT and P11D.

We're looking for someone who brings fresh ideas, drive and enthusiasm - someone who can develop and mentor others as the finance function continues to evolve, introducing improved systems for areas such as stock and tools tracking.

The Role:



The Finance & Administration Coordinator is expected to drive best practices in finance and administration within the Company to maximise efficiency and growth. They will work closely with and report to the Company Directors. They will collaborate with colleagues to understand the demands of the Company and how this role helps to support Company objectives.

The holder of this role will help the team to improve performance, support their use of resources, and help them to avoid costly mistakes that could affect customer satisfaction or have financial implications.

They will effectively communicate with new and existing team members regarding processes required for financial viability. The postholder will also be responsible for managing the administration function, including office management and day-to-day administration.

They will create, adhere to, and supervise standardised processes for the team and facilitate the resolution of issues concerning Company finance. The overall purpose is to ensure maximum remuneration for the company is achieved.

on-site in our Derby office

Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience:



Minimum of 3 years in a similar Payroll and Finance role with demonstrable experience in financial management Maths and English at GCSE level (minimum grades C / 4 or above) A relevant Accounting / Business Management / Finance qualification (AAT Level 4, ACCA part-qualified, or equivalent) Competent user of various IT systems, with advanced knowledge of Excel and financial systems High level of competence in using CRM systems and Office 365 applications Strong oral and written communication skills In-depth knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and regulations Knowledge and experience of preparing and managing budgets Proven organisational and analytical/problem-solving skills Knowledge of GDPR guidelines

Additional Information:



28 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) Full-time, on-site role 40 hours per week, 52 weeks, Monday to Friday
