Finance Director

Join BMG\'s Finance team as a Finance Director and play a pivotal role in our ongoing growth phase, particularly in acquisitions. We\'re on the lookout for a experienced professional to assist our acquisition accounting efforts and seamlessly integrate newly acquired entities into our systems and processes. Please note that this position offers a 12-month contract.

What You\'ll Be Doing.

Integration of UK Company Acquisitions.

  • Strategically plan and oversee the integration of acquired businesses, including Investments/Legal/Copyrights/Royalties/Supply Chain, ensuring efficient and timely alignment with our standard procedures.
  • Review and ensure compliance of completion mechanism processes, supporting final balances in line with SPA agreements and local UK tax regulations.
  • Contribute to reporting opening balances, prepacks, and PPA reporting for Group teams during month-end processes.
Restructuring of UK Companies.
  • Lead the transfer of intellectual property (IP) to the parent company, unwind subsidiary balance sheet items, and navigate compliance, accounting, consolidation, and tax implications.
  • Collaborate closely with legal and royalties teams, maintaining a comprehensive audit trail for seamless process transfer.
  • Review operational finance teams\' bookings for month-end close, ensuring alignment with UK statutory and Group consolidation requirements.
  • Ensure strict adherence to IFRS standards in accounting processes and support internal and external auditors as needed.
Who You Are.
  • Possess a robust background in acquisition, mergers, and liquidation accounting, with a track record of successful integration.
  • Demonstrate exceptional time management and organizational skills, with a keen ability to thrive under strict deadlines while taking full ownership of your workload.
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, flexible approach to challenges.
  • Approach your work with diligence, conscientiousness, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Communicate effectively and excel in building interpersonal relationships.
  • Hold a qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
