We are looking for a Finance Director for the UK Property Management business



Role Purpose

Acting under the EMEA Property Management ('PM') Head of Finance, the purpose of this role is to support the UK PM business and the PM Finance team in creating a partnership with operations and management, to be a trusted adviser, and to add value that will assist in decision-making. This finance business partnering role requires a mix of analytical, commercial and communication skills, the ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, and having the confidence to challenge key stakeholders when and where appropriate. PM Finance wants to be an active and visible participant in the successful growth of Property Management as part of the wider JLL business.



What this job involves / Essential Functions

Business Partnering:

Working closely with the business and key stakeholders to ensure the impact of decisions is understood, performance is tracked, and outcomes are included in the latest budget/forecasts. This role will be expected to actively influence day-to-day decisions and shape strategy & the direction of the business. Independently engage with senior stakeholders, form & stand on their opinions, and challenge the business over decisions and results.

Be the trusted advisor to UK & EMEA PM Board members, supporting business decisions and enhancing understanding of underlying business performance and proactively calling out and challenging areas of under-performance.



Reporting and Variance Analysis:

provide the business with greater insight into business performance, identify associated risks and opportunities, review, report and understand the impacts on future performance for country, regional, and global audiences.

Financial Planning & Analysis:

to participate and help enhance our current budgeting and forecasting process to improve accuracy. Be on the front foot when forecasting revenue and costs on both a short and long-term basis by maintaining forward-looking reporting.

Finance Processes:

support month-end reporting by working with operations, finance and other teams to ensure high-quality, accurate output. Oversee process improvements in invoicing, revenue recognition, and accounts receivables / DSO.

Team leader:

manage projects and day-to-day tasks of junior team members supporting their development, training and career aspirations. Provide timely performance feedback. Provide leadership to the managers and analysts in UK finance team & act as EMEA PM Head of Finance deputy in their absence.

Business case modelling and tracking:

Support the business to build transformational business cases to continue to drive margin improvement (target >100 BPS per annum) and identify areas of opportunity for cost efficiency / operational enhancement

Commercial acumen:

requires a deep understanding of the business operation and key drivers of revenue, cost & profitability. Is able to clearly understand how different areas of the business and their processes interact and connect with one another across the matrix. Focus on improved profitability and reporting by client and business line.

Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) is essential and MBA is a plus

Prior experience in a finance manager role managing a team

Strong influencing skills and able to present to senior audience with impact

Strong people manager, able to develop a high performing team & identify and support progression of talent throughout the organisation

Proven track record of driving efficiency and being a trusted advisor to senior business leaders

Strong excel skills and experience in enterprise accounting systems and financial reporting tools

Dynamic, driven and self-responsible individual

Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
