Finance & HR Officer
with high standards and strong work ethic
on a part-time basis (28-32 hours per week, spread over 4 days, a job share would also be considered).
Please note this is a part time post, with the slary a full time equivlant (FTE) of 40hours as is dependent on qualification and experience.
We are seeking an organised and proactive individual to support the day-to-day HR and Finance operations for CUCF. Working closely with our Senior Leadership Team, you'll handle a broad range of administrative and operational tasks, ensuring the smooth running of key internal processes.
Initially, you'll work closely with the HR and Finance teams at Head Office in Tiptree, this will ensure you are supported and onboarded with attention to detail. Longer term but this role will evolve into a standalone position based at Shrub End Community & Sports Centre, Colchester, CO2 9BG.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience in HR and Finance administration.
Confident with all Microsoft Office & Finance packages such as Great Plans, Xero, Sage platforms.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
A team player who can also work independently as the role grows.
Willing to undertake a CUFC Enhanced DBS Check.
Full UK Driving License.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
CIPD and or AAT qualifications.
Entry level accounting qualification.
HR Roles & Responsibilities:
Manages staff records, contracts and HR databases.
Administer holiday, sickness and absence tracking.
Keep abreast of all employment law changes and communication any changes with senior staff and the workforce.
Work with staff and or manager to advise, guide and run suitable processes in relation to any disciplinary or capability processes. Including dealing with any complaints and or grievances in collaboration with our Senior team.
Support onboarding and induction for new starters and coordinate leaver's processes.
Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
Assist with recruitment administration and training coordination.
Finance Roles & Responsibilities:
Process sales invoices, credit control, and purchase orders.
Prepare and run payroll, expenses as well as timesheet management.
Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
Process and manage month end journals, reconciliation, sales, purchase ledger.
Prepare reports to our board of trustees and charities commission.
Act as company secretary.
