Boyce Group is seeking an experienced and confident Finance Manager with strong business acumen and excellent attention to detail. This is a hands-on role within a dynamic property, retail, and leisure group, requiring someone who can manage the day-to-day financial operations while contributing to strategic decision-making.
The Finance Manager will oversee a broad range of accounting and compliance functions across Boyce Group and related companies, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with statutory obligations. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise with the confidence to advise senior management and support the continued growth of the group.
Key Responsibilities
Tax & Compliance
Prepare and file VAT returns across multiple entities.
Oversee CIS returns and ensure compliance.
Manage company accounts filings and liaise with external accountants for the smooth preparation and filing of group and subsidiary accounts.
Oversee confirmation statement filings and Companies House compliance.
Financial Operations
Manage purchase ledger processes and maintain supplier relationships.
Ensure timely, efficient supplier payments and oversee direct debit transfers.
Manage daily cashflow, including intercompany cash transfers and loan movements.
Oversee payroll and pensions administration.
Monitor and oversee business rates, council tax, and other statutory obligations.
Centre & Property Management Support
Monitor and prepare the annual service charge statement for Kingsway Centre.
Raise and manage tenant recharge invoices for insurance and energy.
Monitor rent arrears and implement effective collection strategies.
Prepare monthly recharge invoices and carry out cost analysis for projects.
Oversee and reconcile intercompany recharges across multiple group companies.
Monitor overhead contracts such as electricity and subscriptions, ensuring best value for money.
Analysis & Reporting
Prepare and review monthly management accounts for Nap Apartments and other group entities.
Support with pricing exercises and financial modelling for new ventures.
Provide insights to support strategic decision-making and project evaluation.
Skills & Experience
Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience with strong commercial background.
Proven track record in managing financial operations for multi-entity businesses, ideally with exposure to property, retail, or leisure sectors.
Strong knowledge of VAT, CIS, payroll, and statutory compliance.
Experience managing intercompany loans, transfers, and recharges across complex group structures.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex financial data.
Commercially astute with the ability to challenge, advise, and support senior management.
Strong systems knowledge and confidence with accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, or similar).
Proactive, organised, and able to balance competing priorities.
