What you'll be doing?




Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Manager has responsibility for Divisional integrity and efficient running of the Finance department.

Your responsibilities include:
Day to day management of the Finance Department. Support the Finance Director in all areas of Finance including; organisation of finance function both operational and strategic; responsibility for management of accounts process; management of the finance team; general provision of any accounting requirements of the Division Line Manager responsibility for the Management Accountant and Accounts Assistant. Completion of monthly forecasts and 3YP as required by Group timetables. Collation of data necessary for the production of accurate forecasts, including liaison with other departments, Divisional Directors, Region, etc. Maintaining the supporting data to back up the forecast. Overall cash management of the business. Assist in managing the cost control of the Division including active participation in the monthly valuation process, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of provisions. Review monthly management accounts and associated reconciliations. Provide Monthly board statistics. Prepare consol pack for audit review. Review annual accounts and annual tax submissions. Management of quarterly CSQ reports. Liaise with other members of the finance team to facilitate the efficient running of the department. Management of the Finance Team, including coaching. Perform ad-hoc duties as required. Deputise for the Finance Director as and when necessary. Deal with queries from Group/Region/Division as required.

What you'll need?




To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
A professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) ideally with post-qualification experience in a commercial accounting role, ideally within the house-building sector. Experience in collating budgets and monitoring against performance, including cost control. Self-disciplined, with demonstrably good time management skills and the ability to manage a number of priorities. Strong Commercial awareness. Strong IT and financial analysis skills, coupled with the ability to interpret data and assess impacts on the business. Self-confident, decisive, resilient and able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong motivator with a reputation for achievement and delivery. Quick and willing to learn, with good organisational skills.
A good communicator able to contribute and challenge at all levels
