We are looking for a technically competent Finance Manager with experience: -
Having worked in a practice or in an industrial environment .
Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the management team
Using cloud-based accountancy software packages such as Sage, QuickBooks and Xero.
A strong knowledge of professional standards and ethics.
Qualification
Degree or equivalent in either finance or business management.
Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ACA), Associated of Chartered Accounts (ACCA) or Certificate in Management Accounts (CMA) or qualified by experience will also be considered.
Hold a full and clean driving licence. Own transport will be required, as it will be necessary to attend other office locations of the firm from time to time.
The role
is varied, challenging and enjoyable and will include: -
Key Tasks
Ensure that financial information, e.g., accounting system, budgets and cash flows is up to date.
Produce accurate financial reports and information to meet specific deadlines.
Allocate internal re-charges to group companies on a regular basis according to agreed schedule.
Prepare and present annual financial accounts to meet statutory deadlines.
Liaise with Chief Executive and Managing Directors to provide financial information to support the development of the Group.
Identify cost-reduction or efficiency opportunities, conduct reviews and evaluations and make recommendations to the Board.
Operate the Sales and Purchase Ledgers of the Group
Run the monthly BACS payments.
Manage group agreements and contracts e.g., mobile phones, franking machines and credit card machines, PII, Tax Investigation Insurance,
Work with the Managing Director and Business Support and credit Control staff to ensure debtors levels are maintained at agreed levels.
Manage Time and Fees System and produce performance and Performance Related Bonus information to meet agreed deadlines.
