What you'll do
As the Finance Manager - Fixed Assets & Property Accounting, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate accounting controls for both Sainsbury's and Argos Fixed Assets and Capital Ledgers, ensuring precise Period and Statutory Account entries. Your responsibilities will involve preparing PPE packs for all entities, managing the offshore team for processing journals in compliance with Group Policy, and owning the annual Budget, Forecasts, and 5-year Plan for Depreciation and associated Balance sheet accounts. Additionally, you will oversee the management of Oracle Projects and Fixed Asset Registers, ensuring all processing and interfaces are correctly recognised in the GL, and lead the production of various capex / depreciation schedules for period accounts and audit purposes. Your role will also involve maintaining a robust financial control environment within the teams, addressing net book values for land and store impairment reviews, and acting as the main contact with External Auditors for Fixed Asset queries throughout the year. Through your strong financial acumen and leadership skills, you will drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the team, contributing to the overall financial integrity of the organisation.
