Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced

Finance Manager

to join our dynamic team at our blow moulding manufacturing facility. This is a senior-level position, critical to the financial health and strategic growth of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading the finance function, ensuring robust financial planning, reporting, and compliance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the manufacturing site

Monitor production costs, analyse variances, and work with operational teams to improve profitability

Ensure compliance with all relevant UK and Scottish accounting standards and regulations

Provide financial insight and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making

Lead month-end and year-end close processes, liaising with auditors as required

Oversee and continuously improve internal controls and financial systems

Manage finance staff and support development within the team

Requirements:

Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) - Scottish qualifications preferred

At least 5 years of experience in a finance leadership role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment

Strong understanding of cost accounting, production performance metrics, and inventory control

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficient in financial systems and data analysis tools

Desirable:

Prior experience in plastics, packaging, or blow moulding manufacturing
