Residential heating makes up 17% of the UK's carbon emissions yet just 1% of homes use heat pumps. With 20B+ market growth on the horizon and government support accelerating adoption, the opportunity is massive.
At Installio, we're tackling the biggest barrier to scale: installation. Our mission is to unlock the UK's green collar workforce using technology to enable faster, better, and more scalable installs. Working directly with homeowners as well as installing on behalf B2B partners such as E.ON and Good Energy, our tech-enabled installation platform helps deliver and grow heat pump installation capacity at scale.
As experienced third time founders (ex-McKinsey, ex-Bloomberg), we're backed by VC and industry leaders, embedded with major B2B players, growing fast and just getting started. As we expand, financial discipline becomes a core enabler of growth. We're hiring a Finance manager to lead on financial strategy, cashflow optimisation, and the infrastructure needed to scale sustainably.
The role
You'll be Installio's first finance hire and a key strategic partner to the founders--owning financial operations, managing cashflow, and helping to build the commercial engine that underpins our growth.
From supply chain and installer payments to working capital optimisation and financial modelling, you'll bring rigour and foresight to ensure Installio remains cash-efficient and margin-strong as we scale.
What you'll do
Own and optimise working capital--managing cashflows, DPO/DSO, installer payments and partner terms
Build financial controls and systems to support scale and transparency
Oversee installer payment processes, balancing fairness with liquidity (e.g. milestone-based payouts)
Negotiate payment terms with suppliers and partners to maximise flexibility
Lead forecasting, budgeting and performance tracking across the business
Collaborate with ops and product to track unit economics and improve margins
Evaluate and implement financing tools (e.g. factoring, credit facilities) to support growth
Support investor reporting and fundraising processes
What we're looking for
Experience as a finance lead or FD in a high-growth, operationally complex business (marketplace, field ops, or clean tech experience a plus)
Deep knowledge of cashflow management and supplier financing
Ability to manage and optimise complex payment flows across multiple stakeholders
Strong commercial acumen--comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels
Hands-on, systems-minded, and excited to build from the ground up
Passionate about the clean energy transition and making a real-world impact
What you'll get
Competitive salary 55-70k and meaningful equity
A leadership role in one of the UK's most exciting clean tech startups
Full ownership of finance with the opportunity to shape strategy and infrastructure
* Hybrid working, with a central London HQ
