Finance Manager

to join our

Finance Department.

The

Finance Manager

is responsible for ensuring appropriate operational and financial processes and controls are in place to deliver accurate financial reporting and specifically to ensure the completeness, existence, and accuracy of all revenues, costs, assets and liabilities.

The Role

Coordinating and performing timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis with a deep understanding of risks and creating action plans to resolve these. Performing a key role in the external audit of two legal entities, and ensuring compliance with current accounting standards and regulations. Business partnering with departments including Legal, IT, Operations, Marketing, HR and Customer Experience. Managing the month end close process, including the preparation of the monthly cashflow statement, and reporting results into Group Ownership of key elements of the annual budgeting process Maintaining a robust balance sheet. Regularly doing cost analysis across the business and across a wide range of activities and areas, highlighting risks and opportunities and making recommendations to senior management. Maintaining a sound internal control environment, identifying and communicating any risks on a timely basis. Providing technical financial support and guidance to the UK business. Supporting the business on ad hoc queries and projects. Developing Finance team members both through finance study, and internal training, to grow and progress each team member towards their goals.

Experience

Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with at least 1 to 3 years post qualification experience. Experience in external audit, with technical and statutory accounting expertise. Previous experience of financial control. Experience of managing and developing a team, and reviewing their work. Sound proficiency in Microsoft Excel
