Finance Manager \xc2\xa365,000 + bonus Manchester (hybrid working)

Robert Walters are excited to be representing a hugely successful retail business in their search for an ambitious Finance Manager, and future Head of Finance, to join their high calibre group finance team. This is an opportunity to join a successful blue-chip business during an exciting period of growth in a role which will present opportunities to learn, develop and progress.

Reporting to an impressive Head of Finance, you\'ll be responsible for overseeing Management Accounting activities, driving continuous improvement, developing individuals in your team and building working relationships with members of the senior leadership team.

The role:

  • Manage, coach and develop the Management Accounts team, driving personal and professional growth through 121s and development plans.
  • Oversee the month end close, ensuring the ledgers are all closed to agreed deadlines.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all aspects of the divisional accounts.
  • Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner, including review and sign off.
  • Supporting KPIs to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide divisional accounts and support to the Finance Directors and Finance Business Partners of the relevant Division.
  • Assisting the Head of Finance and Accounting in delivery of SLAs across finance.
  • Interact with transactional teams to provide feedback on issues and areas of continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the Head of Finance to ensure all costs captured in head office are appropriate and understood.
  • Work towards and feed into a continual improvement mind set within your team and the wider group finance team.
  • Developing the finance team and managing internal and external relationships.
  • Developing necessary policies and procedures to ensure the sound financial management and control of the company\'s business.
You as the successful individual:
  • Fully CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with a minimum 3 years\' PQE.
  • Proven experience in the preparation and review of management accounts.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills with prior team management experience.
  • Ability to actively engage stakeholders and colleagues to ensure processes are executed consistently and complied with.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and to thrive under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
