NewGen operates from 2 principal locations in the UK, being Manchester and London and has a rapidly growing presence out of New York, in the USA.

The Role



We are looking for a Finance Manager to coordinate and contribute to the financial and operational functions of NewGen.

This role reports directly into the Group Financial Controller where, in collaboration with the NewGen finance team, you will help inform the way decisions are made group-wide alongside being the custodians of the group's financial data.

The role would suit individuals already working as a Finance Business Partner in industry, whilst equally offering an opportunity for newly qualified accountants currently working in practice. A passion for social media and the Creator Economy always helps too!

Being backed by Private Equity in a rapidly growing industry, there is significant growth potential over the coming years and the role will provide you with exposure and responsibilities across UK & US finance and operations.

It would be advantageous if the candidate is in the Greater Manchester area as this role will be office based 3 days per week.

Responsibilities



Collaborate with our agency, creator and leadership teams to aid in managing NewGen's daily financial operations; Own the management of the month end process, in addition to leading the preparation of monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and reporting packs for senior leadership; Maintain robust financial controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with statutory requirements; Manage cash flow activity, including accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely disbursements to vendors and receipt of revenues; Analyse financial performance, cost trends, and variances, making recommendations to improve profitability and efficiency; Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning; Drive process improvements across finance and operations to strengthen the control environment; Support cross-functional projects and provide financial insight to aid decision-making.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have



Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial acumen; Proven track record of managing month-end close and financial reporting; Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills; Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; A proactive and collaborative mindset, comfortable working independently and as part of a team; Flexibility to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level; Experience with the Xero accounting system (or similar ERP systems).

A Bachelor's Degree / Apprenticeship qualification in business, finance, economics, or related field; Fully Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Experience in entertainment, social media, or marketing industries preferred but not required
